Based in Christchurch, it leads postgraduate nursing education and research in the South Island. The department excels in advanced nursing programmes, including the Nurse Practitioner pathway, and the graduate entry pre-registration Master of Nursing Science programme. The department has strong links with all of the South Island District Health Boards, Primary Health Organisations, and other clinical providers.
