This is an inpatient Medical-Surgical Oncology unit primarily caring for newly diagnosed acute leukemia patients. The unit has a strong focus on infection prevention protocols and fall prevention initiatives. Shift Options: 3x12 Days (07:00–19:30) 3x12 Nights (19:00–07:30) 36 hours per week Self-scheduling; no block scheduling permitted Weekend requirement: Variable based on unit needs Float: Required to other MedSurg Oncology units Unit Details: 24 beds | Average daily census 22 Patient population: Adults and Geriatrics Staffing ratios: Goal 1:4, may be 1:5 High volume of blood products, IV antibiotics, and electrolyte management Telemetry monitoring (GE B450 system) Alaris pumps Stryker beds Bladder scanners Epic charting system Orientation: Week 1: Monday–Friday dayshift Week 2: 36 hours on-unit orientation with preceptor Compensation: W2: $30.00/hr Total Weekly Stipend: $1,477.00 Gross Weekly Pay: $2,557.00 Requirements Licensure: Active Compact RN license or active Ohio RN license required in hand at time of submission.
