Responsibilities:
YOUR NEW ROLE:
To support the Highway & Coastal and Traffic & Parking Leadership team in ensuring that the delivery of services and the implementation of developer guidance policy to support planning application legislation and ensure its application is delivered in a holistic, efficient and consistent way. To support and where required deputise for the Service Manager, regarding all the functions which support Council’s asset management infrastructure which total approximately £2bn in accordance with the Council’s strategies and policies. To lead from inception to completion the development control process, to include; Pre-application advice, consultation of internal stakeholders, providing formal Highway Authority comments, technical approval, safety audit process (GG119), completion of formal legal agreements acting as the proper officer in discharging the Highway Authority statutory legal functions under the Highways Act. Manage, Supervise and Adopt proposed highway offered for adoption.
