What will you be doing?

  • Assisting the RP Supervisor and the Manager of Compliance & Radiation Protection to implement the RP Programs.
  • Conducting radiological safety assessments, compliance surveys, and workplace inspections.
  • Advising staff on RP requirements in their respective work areas.
  • Ensuring that the WL site is compliant with the requirements of the RP Programs.
  • Providing radiation protection services including radiological clearance surveys, characterization surveys, decommissioning surveys with radiological work assessments.
  • Assisting in decommissioning activities by providing radiation protection advice and guidance for radiological protective clothing and equipment, setting up zoning, monitoring radiation doses and contamination levels, packaging waste, and surveying waste.
  • Assisting trades and operations and projects staff as a Radiation Protection Subject Mater Expert.
  • Working in a team with all levels of RP staff to provide radiation protection services throughout the WL site.
  • Other duties as assigned by your manager.
