DETAILS

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm; no weekends, holidays or call

REQUIREMENTS

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following required:
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Any specialty accepted. Radiology Tech licensure issued by the Illinois Emergency Mgmt Agency required in combination with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiation Therapy credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Any specialty accepted. Radiology Tech licensure issued by the Illinois Emergency Mgmt Agency required in combination with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate’s degree/Technical degree with 2 years of experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

Manage the daily operations of radiation therapy services.

  • Assist with developing departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
  • Assess quality of patient care and coordinate patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments.
  • Manage staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management.
  • Oversee scheduling, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
  • Oversee departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, contracts, and vendor relations.
  • Collaborate with physicians and staff as new techniques/procedures are developed and introduced into service.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective delivery of health services.
  • Responsible for ensuring all department activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
  • Responsible for ensuring prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
