Description:
We are seeking a specialized Radio Communications Engineering Technician to join our team, focusing on military radio and communications systems. In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing tactical radio communication equipment for the Dutch Army.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Practical Engineering degree or Technical certification in Radio Communications/RF Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience with military radio communications systems
- Demonstrated expertise in:
- RF signal theory and propagation
- Military radio protocols and standards
- Antenna systems and RF transmission lines
- Radio frequency test equipment

- Proficiency with spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and RF power meters
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office suite
- Fluent in both Dutch and English
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior technical service in the Dutch Army’s communications division
- Experience with tactical military radio systems
- Knowledge of military communication security protocols
- Familiarity with encrypted communication systems
- Background in VHF/UHF radio systems
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on military radio communication systems
- Configure and test RF communication equipment
- Conduct RF signal measurements and analysis
- Execute firmware updates and system configurations
- Perform antenna installations and maintenance
- Troubleshoot complex RF interference issues
- Calibrate and maintain test equipment
- Document technical procedures and RF system performance
- Collaborate with international engineering teams for technical support
- Provide field support for radio communication systems
