Radiographic Department Assistant

Assist radiographers in the x-ray rooms. Assist patients through their examination, helping them to manoeuvre on the examination table, providing re-assurance and explanation of what is happening. Assist with manual handling of patients including lateral transfer from bed/trolley to x-ray table. Assist with moving patients around the department and hospital in beds, trolleys and wheelchairs.
Input data into the department computer systems. Liaise with other wards and departments on the phone and face-to-face. Maintain stock and perform cleaning tasks. Work in the Inpatient X-Ray and Emergency Department, caring for patients who have suffered injuries or severe illness.
