Providence Medical Center (PMC) is seeking a Radiologic Technologist II in a full time day shift role!!!
We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist II, internally referred to as our Radiology Tech II at Providence Medical Center a member of Prime Healthcare. Focus will be on conducting diagnostic X-ray procedures. This involves operating X-ray equipment to capture images of patients’ internal structures for diagnostic purposes. An important role in assisting healthcare providers by producing high-quality images that aid in diagnosing medical conditions and formulating treatment plans for our patients.
Shift’s Available: Day Shift, PRN Variable
Employment Type: Full time or Per Diem (PRN)
Shift Hours: 8 hours
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
- licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State
- appropriate national certifications in two modalities
- current BCLS accredited by the AHA
- familiar with State and Federal regulations
- graduate of an accredited radiology technology program (accredited by JRCERT preferred)
- proficient computer skills
- one year of Acute Clinical Radiography preferred

Responsibilities:
- perform Diagnostic Radiographic, Cat Scan, or other procedures according to department protocols, while cross training as a CT Tech
- responsible for ensuring that X-ray equipment is functioning properly and that images meet quality standards, which may involve performing equipment checks, calibrations, and troubleshooting as needed
- interact with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure their comfort and safety during X-ray examinations
- maintain accurate records of X-ray procedures, including patient information, images, and relevant medical history
- stay updated on advancements in radiologic technology and participate in continuing education to maintain licensure and certification
- operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images
- participate in Performance Improvement (PI) and Quality Control (QC) activities and assist in maintaining Performance Improvement Programs (PIP)
- maintain your Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) and Kansas State Board of Healing Arts license
