EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Certification with the CAMRT.
- A minimum of five (5) years’ recent, related clinical experience in the designated medical imaging modality, including one (1) year experience in a supervisory or teaching capacity, supplemented by successful completion of recognized clinical instruction courses or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES
- Demonstrated knowledge of theory and practice for the designated medical imaging modality including applicable procedures and processes.
- Demonstrated knowledge and practice of safe work procedures with medical imaging equipment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Picture Archiving and Communications Systems (PACS), i.e. digital imaging, image archiving and retrieval.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with co-workers, medical personnel, other health care staff and students, both one-to-one and in-groups.
- Demonstrated ability to develop training manuals, instructional material, examinations and assignments.
- Demonstrated ability to teach and train staff and students.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and to establish workload prioritizes in collaboration with others.
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement training plans.
- Demonstrated ability in CPR techniques.
- Demonstrated continuous education pathway.
- Skill in the use of equipment, and in techniques appropriate to area of speciality.
- Ability to operate related equipment including software applications.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the job.
