Role Description: The candidate will work in the Breast Screening Department, at Winchester and Basingstoke hospitals. The role involves assisting Advanced practice Radiographers and Radiologists in the ultrasound room, during clinics, in either RHCH of BNH hospitals as required. It involves escorting patients into the room, and preparing them for the examination, setting out sterile trolleys and aiding the radiographer/ radiologist in Biopsy and localisation techniques. there may be some duties aiding the radiographer in the x-ray room or clerical staff in the office area on occasion.
perform basic aseptic technique and clinical observations, stock ordering and clean the equipment. They will use hospital IT systems to input and record data. This is an important role supporting the Radiology staff to provide a high quality service in a department with a large number of patients seen each day.
