Description:

We are seeking a dedicated professional to perform radiographic examinations with minimal supervision under the direction of a Radiologist. This role includes coordinating daily activities, performing examinations, and handling associated clerical duties.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires strenuous physical effort while assisting patients from wheelchairs and stretchers.
  • Handle equipment and monitoring supplies.
  • Good oral and written communication skills to interact with patients and hospital staff.
  • Frequently stretch, bend, twist, squat, or kneel in operating radiographic equipment.
  • Use hands for power gripping, speed work, and precision during manipulation of radiographic equipment and in the case of injured and diseased patients.
  • Vision and hearing for distances of up to 10 feet are necessary.
  • Exposure to various physical conditions such as walking on hard surfaces, climbing stairs, and being near moving equipment.
  • Adapt to changes in temperature and humidity.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform and assist with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Document patient history pertaining to specific procedures.
  • Confirm patient identification through verbal confirmation and proof of identity.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media as required.
  • Consult with radiologists and other physicians as necessary.
  • Select and operate equipment based on the demands of individual procedures.
  • Demonstrate correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
  • Maintain appropriate records as required by departmental standards.
