POSITION SUMMARY:
- Ability to perform all types of radiography procedures and proficient working knowledge of all aspects of all relevant general radiography equipment
- Ability to perform bone densitometry exams
- Maintains a safe working environment for co-workers, patients and visitors
- Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new equipment and procedures as required
- Collaborate with other diagnostic imaging team members to optimize use of available resources
- Support a customer-focused environment
- Other duties as required
- The working location of any vacancy/position may be changed or reassigned as per operational needs
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current registration with the CMRITO and CAMRT in good standing
- Comply with the requirements of continuing education as set out by the CMRTO and CAMRT
- Previous experience and expertise in all areas of General Radiography preferred
- An Accredited Densitometry Technologist (ADT), or equivalent training recognized by the CBMD is preferred
- Preference will be given to technologists that have documented training in the use of the DXA equipment, including performance of all manufacturer-specified Quality Assurance (QA) procedures. In addition, training should meet the level of excellence set by the OAR’s CBMD Facility Accreditation program.
- Strong organizational skills combined with strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated excellent patient care skills with strong team approach attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills combined with the ability to provide excellent customer service
- Positive work and attendance record is essential
