Professional Lead Therapeutic Radiographer To lead and be responsible for the delivery of radiotherapy services and implementation of radiotherapy pathways ensuring a cohesive, effective and seamless service is provided to service users across NCCC and NCCC-NC To be responsible for the safe and efficient use of multiple modalities, cutting edge Radiotherapy equipment, (over both sites) in the development and delivery of novel radiotherapy planning and treatment delivery techniques, and in the undertaking of research and development within the radiotherapy service To provide professional leadership and strategic development of Consultant Radiographers and Advanced Radiotherapy Practitioners working within appropriate expert fields of Radiotherapy practice Responsible for the safe delivery of a high-quality radiotherapy service, in a patient orientated way to agreed standards and within available resources To plan for and respond to changes in service needs and delivery. To take a lead on the strategic and operational management of radiotherapy delivery within the Clinical Board and providing expert advice in relation to radiotherapy delivery issues To advise the Trust and external bodies on radiotherapy delivery issues. This role will work closely in conjunction with Radiotherapy Physics and Medical Staff for delivery of radiotherapy service To provide line management support to the Operational Delivery Network Manager working towards achieving the objectives of the Radiotherapy Service Specification.
