About the role:
Roles & Responsibilities:

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional quality guest service, with a focus on smiling, friendly service, minimising wait time and queue time.
  • Work effectively within a team environment to provide excellent guest service and promote a positive working environment.
  • Required to complete any start of day and end of day duties as instructed.
  • Ensure all areas are always kept clean and left clean and tidy at the end of the day.
  • Ensure that all equipment needed for operations is available.
  • Assist with cleanliness within the food & beverage areas including sweeping, rubbish pick-up, clearing and cleaning tables, emptying rubbish bins and cleaning work areas.
  • Adhering to Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) requirements.
  • Assist in other areas associated as required.
  • To carry out all duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Food & Beverage Team Leaders, Food & Beverage Coordinator, Food & Beverage Manager, or member of the Management Team.

Counter Operator:

  • Ensure that the Payment Card Industry (PCI) requirements are followed and checked before starting a shift and the PCI form is signed off before using each register.
  • Operate the point of sale (POS) register.
  • Maintain a clean and organised area, ensuring suppliers are stocks and equipment is functioning.
  • The ability to upsell and value add to every order to maximise revenue opportunity.

Bar Attendant:

  • Uphold RSA standards and ensure all RSA standards are enforced.
  • Operate the point of sale (POS) register.
  • Maintain a clean and organised bar area, ensuring supplies are well stocked.
  • Monitor the sitting areas, ensuring they are clean and tidy, and guests are over 18 years or always accompanied by an 18-year-old.
  • Assist with food service areas as directed.

Runner:

  • Ensuring sufficient stock is available for the counter operations to ensure speed of service.
  • Understanding of the number system in place for preparing and delivering orders placed.
  • Assist counter operator by preparing orders for guests.
  • Assist with maintaining stock levels.

Kitchen Operator:

  • Ensure all orders are accurate and presented to the required standard.
  • Prepare food by following correct procedures on equipment usage and food handling.
  • Follow hygiene and safety procedures and maintain the workplace in a clean and hygienic manner.
  • Ensure service stations are ready to go with all preparation required.
  • Ensure that all equipment and stock is available in each location.
  • Ensure all equipment is cleaned thoroughly after use and turned off.
  • Follow labelling standards for food storage.
  • Ensure all areas are left clean at the end of the shift.

Workplace Health & Safety (WHS):

  • Follow and comply with Work Health Safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Correctly use all safety and personal protective equipment.
  • Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviours.
  • Report WHS incidents, injuries and safety activities to your direct Manager and First Aid at the time it occurs.
  • Promote proactive hazard/ near miss reporting. Report any hazards or near-miss incidents to your direct Manager and the People & Culture Director.
  • Attend Work Group Meetings to discuss and promote safety.

Requirements
Education:

Essential

  • Food Handling certification

Desirable

  • Barista qualifications
