Job Summary: The Field Administrator will work closely with Management to assist in auditing the Roadway Workers in Charge (RWICs) and provide recommendations for improvement.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Proficiency in electronic communications (phone, e-mail, text)
- Customer-facing experience, especially in resolving issues and handling difficult situations
- Proven ability to make decisions within departmental guidelines
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Safety-sensitive experience in previous roles
- Railroad experience (preferred 5+ years)
- Maintenance of Way (MOW) experience
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in client/customer service
- Project coordination experience
- Some college education preferred
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong customer service skills with an ability to work independently
- Discretion with confidential information
- Detail-oriented with intermediate technical skills
- Thoroughness, collaboration skills, communication proficiency, and flexibility

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day audit program, including augmenting audits as needed system-wide
- Participate in and oversee the audit program, ensuring all reporting requirements are met
- Inspect field audits for completeness and perform trend analysis
- Analyze audit findings and develop plans to address discrepancies
- Make recommendations to the training department based on audit findings and patterns of failures
- Participate in the field mentoring program in alignment with RailPros FRA-approved 49 CFR Part 243 program
- Promote RailPros to railroad officials, potential clients, and existing clients
- Recruit and interview candidates, contributing to hiring decisions
- Conduct or assist in investigations as needed
- Revise and develop training programs as necessary
- Mentor RWICs to improve performance and job skills
- Audit & evaluate the RWIC team, providing regular feedback to the team and management
- Document and initiate performance improvement discussions with RWIC personnel
- Other duties as assigned to support business needs
