Position: Railway Safety Engineer (FDMS/RAMS)
Location: Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid: 2 days per week in the office)
Languages Required: Fluency in both French and English
Role Overview:The successful candidate will specialize in FDMS/RAMS, focusing on reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety within the railway sector. You will play a pivotal role in high-profile national and international projects, primarily based in Belgium and abroad.
Technical and Soft Skills:
- A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the RAMS field, with specific experience in the railway sector required.
- Proven expertise in FDMS/RAMS, including proficiency in risk analysis methods such as HAZOP, FMECA, fault trees, and relevant standards (EN 50126, 50128, and 50129).
- Strong organizational skills, a logical approach to problem-solving, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Demonstrated experience in writing detailed technical documentation.
- Sector of activity: Prior experience within the railway sector is essential - a big must have
- Proficiency in Dutch, French, and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsabilities:
- Conduct FDMS/RAMS studies and develop safety dossiers, including failure and risk analysis for various transport systems and equipment (railway, urban, and road).
- Contribute to the design and definition of FDMS/RAMS constraints in transport projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Actively participate in the construction, testing, and commissioning phases of various transport-related projects.
- Lead or support international and Belgian-based projects, ensuring all safety regulations are met and maintained.
