JOB DESCRIPTION

Status: Full time, Permanent
Number of positions: 1
Shift: day shift (08:30- 5:00)
Location: Ville Saint-Laurent
Reports to: Raw Material Supervisor
Summary:
Reporting to the Raw material supervisor, the Raw material quality control technician is responsible for ensuring the production operations are conducted in accordance with the quality standards for processes and products.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • One (1) to three (3) years’ experience as a Quality Control Technician.
  • Prior experience in a food manufacturing environment, an asset.
  • Diploma of College Studies (D.E.C.) in food science or another related field (an asset).
  • Knowledge with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a cold environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to taste all fruits

Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality testing of food products.
  • Finish goods pack at source quality evaluation when required.
  • Record the sampling details.
  • Communicate with other departments regarding quality of raw materials.
  • Raw material quality approval and allocation.
  • Suppler Quality NCR Generation and send to suppler.
  • Laboratory equipment calibration and maintenance
  • Document and record results as instructed.
  • Expired Raw material evaluation for shelf-life update.
  • Other duties as assigned in accordance with operational needs.
