HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE AND GROW?

The Sr Accounting Analyst will support the business objectives based on the Controller organization’s scope of responsibility. The major areas of responsibility will include: financial accounting and reporting, including month-end close processes; general ledger account analyses; preparation and posting of journal entries; research, analyses and reporting; internal reporting requests; fulfilling requests related to internal/external audit and other ad hoc analyses and special projects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
  • CPA designation preferred or in-progress

Required Length & Type of Experience:

  • 4+ years progressive accounting experience
  • Advanced computer skills (Google Suite, Microsoft Excel), experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or ERP systems.
  • Rental industry experience is an asset.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of general accounting matters and IFRS/GAAP.

  • Capable of prioritizing responsibilities on a daily basis to meet required deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Month-end procedures, including the preparation and posting of journal entries including:
  • General Accounting / accruals
  • Payroll transactions/accruals
  • P-Card and Travel Card transactions/accruals
  • Perform tasks ensuring accurate financial and statistical close processes including general ledger account reconciliations and other analyses within established timelines. Direct responsibility will include:
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ad-hoc entries arising from the month end close review process
  • Due to Airgas reconciliations
  • Fixed Assets (non rental, non pooled): additions, disposals, depreciation, reconcile gain/loss
  • Capable of completing a complete close for a small business unit
  • Preparation of reports and other information related to internal requests from the division/branches as well as Corporate.
  • Ensures compliance with the Company’s financial policies/procedures and other matters related to compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned
