How you make a difference:
As the Regional Director of Operations, you will be responsible for managing personnel, clients, clinical quality, and operations for the jails in your region. You will oversee the allocation of healthcare funds to ensure the highest quality of care is delivered to the inmates under your care, while meeting or exceeding commitments to stakeholders. Your role will involve providing guidance, support, and direction to HSAs and clinical staff, sharing key performance information with clients, and collaborating with all functions in the corporate office to ensure seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor, support and evaluate HSAs, ensuring that facilities under management achieve clinical, service, and operating objectives, while maintaining adherence to contract, P&Ps, rules, and regulations.
- Liaise with corporate functions and external community partners to ensure program success, coordinate and attend Quality Assurance meetings, and participate in the accreditation/compliance process.
- Oversee the referral process, drug formulary compliance, and the off-site referral process, as well as participate in the development of the annual operating plan.
- Monitor compliance to staffing plans, manage changes to staffing plans, and authorize equipment purchases as needed.
- Manage key operating metrics, including staffing/schedules/payroll, labor, supply, pharmacy, and staff retention, and provide regular written communications on key performance indicators, statistics, and important developments.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare or related field.
- Master’s Degree preferred.
Experience:
- Five plus years of experience in healthcare operations management required, correctional health experience preferred.
- Multi-site management experience required.
Licenses/Certifications:
- None required.
