Base Salary: $54,325-$57,400. Compensation based on skills and experience.
Job Summary
Our Vancouver office is currently looking for an experienced Legal Assistant in the areas of Real Estate and Financial Services. The successful candidate will support a Real Estate and Financial Services practice on a wide range of residential, commercial and financial services transactions including acquisitions and sales of properties, condominium developments, financing transactions and land development.

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

Graduate of a recognized legal assistant program or equivalent.
2+ years of real estate development/subdivision and/or financial services experience considered a key asset.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and as a team.
Strong work ethic with initiative; capable of multitasking and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced and often changing environment.
Experience in BC Registries and Online Services, Land Title and Survey Authority (myLTSA).
Skilled in the areas of attention to detail, accuracy, confidentiality, dependability and organization.

Responsibilities:

Administering files, from open to close, supporting the requirements of the lawyer, cooperating with other staff, ensuring follow-up, timeliness and accuracy.
Performing various administrative tasks including billing and following up on outstanding accounts.
Coordinating and facilitating document preparation.
Communicating with clients on file matters.
Making electronic inquiries and document filings with agencies such as BC Registries and Online Services and Land Title and Survey Authority (myLTSA).
Prioritizing and diarizing workflow to ensure completion of accurate work to meet external and internal deadlines.
Supporting the learning and mentoring of team members.
Other related duties as required.
