Responsibilities:
- Draft contracts, prepare promissory notes and draw up wills, mortgages and other legal documents
- Perform clerical duties, such as maintain filing systems
- Prepare wills, real estate transactions and other legal documents, court reports and affidavits
- Research records, court files and other legal documents
- Collect and record administrative and service fees
- Draft legal correspondence
- Supervise professional, para-legal and support staff and articling students
- Supervise staff or team
- Provide clients with information
- Project management
- Process applications for loans and mortgages
- Perform opening and closing activities
- Maintain registration systems, records and files
- Process files and paperwork
- Prepare court files, court dockets and other documents
- Direct and advise staff engaged in providing records management, security, finance, purchasing, human resources or other administrative services
- Explain procedures, risks and benefits to clients
