Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Lease Administration or Property Management, as a manager or a similar role for at least 5 years.
  • Strong understanding of Property Management software and MS Office.
  • Detail-oriented with an aptitude for problem-solving and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Risk management and corporate governance experience

Responsibilities:

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Responsible for supporting portfolio managers on an area basis in the implementation and execution of leasing strategy, policies, and guidelines. Assists in acquiring suitable premises, completing market rental surveys, and negotiating the best possible market related lease terms, conditions and tenant installation allowances on new leases, relocations, early termination of existing leases, sub-letting, and renewal of existing leases in respect of leased premises and group owned buildings. Ensures that all customers are adequately protected through careful vetting and preparation of lease agreements with landlords in terms of the lease vetting criteria.
  • Reviewing and maintaining lease agreements.
  • Monitoring lease terms and ensuring compliance with the terms.
  • Managing lease renewals, extensions, and terminations.
  • Negotiating lease terms with tenants and landlords.
  • Ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation of all lease agreements.

  • We are seeking a dedicated Lease Manager to oversee our lease administration department. This role requires a meticulous and proactive professional to ensure all leasing processes are compliant and optimized for efficiency. Your primary goal will be to maintain seamless operations within the lease management framework, serving as a pivotal figure in enhancing tenant satisfaction and maximizing revenue. A perfect candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, robust compliance knowledge, and the ability to drive process improvements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and supervise the lease administration team to ensure compliance with all statutory regulations and company policies.
  • Oversee the setup and maintenance of lease agreements, ensuring accurate and efficient documentation and administration.
  • Conduct periodic audits of lease files and coordinate with finance departments to reconcile lease-related financial transactions.
  • Negotiate lease renewals, amendments, and terminations; handle tenant inquiries and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Implement strategic tools and protocols to streamline leasing processes, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop training programs for new and existing staff, ensuring a high level of expertise within the team.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to upper management, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
