Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced paralegal with a background in commercial real estate to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for supporting our legal team in the preparation, execution, and management of various commercial real estate transactions, including purchases, sales, leasing, and financing. With a strong command of legal terminology and excellent organizational skills, the ideal applicant is competent in prioritizing and working with little supervision, demonstrating significant independent thinking and problem-solving abilities.

REQUIREMENTS:

Associate or Bachelor’s Degree required; Paralegal Certification preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a paralegal role within commercial real estate.
Proficient in MS Office, with working knowledge of law software (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw, etc.)
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with an ability to manage multiple projects at once and meet deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must have extensive experience with commercial leases
Proactive, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

Assist in drafting, reviewing, and managing commercial leases, deeds, closing documents, purchase and sale contracts, and other real estate-related legal documents.
Conduct legal research on matters relating to commercial real estate transactions and provide legal updates to internal departments.
Coordinating with outside counsel, title companies, and lenders for timely closings.
Manage due diligence activities for commercial real estate transactions, including title searches, property inspections, environmental site assessments, surveys, etc.
Assist in the due diligence process, including title and survey review, environmental assessments, property inspections, and lease reviews.
Maintain an organized tracking system for transactions and assist in managing the real estate portfolio.
Facilitate communication between various parties involved in transactions, such as attorneys, brokers, and clients.
Maintain and update client database and manage client communications.
Monitor legal requirements for current holdings and new acquisitions, preparing necessary documentation as needed.
