JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
The RES Director will be responsible for leading, developing and managing an existing accommodation organisation contained within a new wider RES organisation which will include additional capabilities described further in this job description. The RES Director will be accountable and report directly to the BAES SDT Operations Director
Grenada Enterprise Limited (GEL) will be maintained as an independent registered company within the BAES SDT portfolio. The RES Director role will subsume and incorporate the title of General Manager GEL to satisfy the Legal requirements of an independent registered company. Accordingly, the RES Director will hold profit and loss accountability for the RES organisation, which will continue to be managed through the existing GEL commercial registration. For context, GEL operations spans over 7 KSA locations encompassing both residential and business accommodation for c. 5000 residents, employees and dependants.
The RES organisation will be required to maintain and deliver future residential and accommodation strategy spanning at least 10 years, refreshed annually alongside the Integrated Business Plan and mirroring government to government contracts and funding. The strategy will take into account residential and office accommodation forecast requirements and ensure adequate lead times and resourcing for key events.
Delivery of this strategy will require efficient and effective requirements capture and change management; development of options analyses; evolution of solution proposals; tendering for competition; letting and administering real estate, operations, maintenance and security contracts; managing landlords and suppliers; issuing and controlling budgets; evolving and governing processes within mandates and policy; managing quality and maintaining safety
To achieve this, the RES organisation will evolve under the leadership of the RES Director to improve and ensure process efficiency, alignment and adherence; recruitment; capability and professional qualifications; succession planning; education on policy and processes; upskilling through learning and development; and continuing professional development
In evolving the RES organisation the RES Director will review and incorporate where appropriate roles and capabilities in a controlled, prioritised and funded plan over an anticipated 6-18 months’ timeframe subject the ongoing review of best practice requirements and leveraging of BAE Systems Arabian Industries capabilities and subject to the relevant approvals`

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.
