EDUCATION

EXPERIENCE

  • Extensive* experience in IM/IT project implementation including areas such as systems analysis, systems implementation and software development life cycle.
  • Significant** experience in managing, supervising, mentoring, developing and directing a team.
  • Experience developing and enforcing IM/IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with government regulations and standards.
  • Significant** experience in providing strategic and technical advice to internal and external stakeholders and management.
  • Experience in implementing best practices for enterprise system operations and continually seek opportunities for process improvement.
  • Experience with incorporation of change management practices in the implementation of new business architecture or other business process updates to existing information systems.
  • Extensive experience is defined as a minimum of five (5) years of experience.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Real Property Information Systems Manager to support our Real Property Planning and Management (RPPM) Branch. The incumbent would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.
The position of Information Systems Manager provides a unique opportunity to play a significant role in leading and developing the NRC’s Real Property Information Management System (RPIMS) to support our Real Property IM/IT strategy. RPIMS is the backbone for the effective management of our real property portfolio supporting our goal of a modern and sustainable portfolio.
In addition to overseeing and developing our RPIMS, the Real Property Information Systems Manager is responsible for assessing existing and emerging technologies. The incumbent will also be responsible for the planning, organization, direction, control, and evaluation of all activities related to the analysis, design, development, implementation, operation, and administration of our RPIMS.
This position provides technical leadership to the RPIMS team as well as strategic and technical advice to management and requires proven and significant experience in IM/IT project management.
The incumbent will be responsible for contributing and reporting on key performance indicators for all of the NRC’s real property holdings of particular strategic importance, including departmental sustainability goals and supporting investment in the NRC’s building assets based on condition, functionality, utilization and performance. The incumbent will work with multiple stakeholders to develop an RPIM framework that will support business intelligence and data analytics tools as well as ensure that the information management systems and data analytics effectively supports our real property portfolio.
