About Parameta Solutions
Parameta Solutions is the Data & Analytics division of TP ICAP Group. The business provides clients with unbiased OTC content and proprietary data, in-depth insights across price discovery, risk management, benchmark and indices, and pre and post-trade analytics. Its post-trade solutions offering helps market participants control their counterparty and regulatory risks through a growing range of tools that manage balance-sheet exposure, as well as compression and optimisation services. The Data & Analytics division includes the following brands: Tullett Prebon Information, PVM Data Services, ICAP Information and Burton-Taylor Consulting.
Role Overview
As a Real-Time Data Support Analyst in the Parameta Solutions division, you will play a critical role in ensuring the uninterrupted flow of real-time data across multiple platforms. This involves monitoring and supporting data systems on Linux and Windows operating systems, diagnosing and resolving data or system issues, and configuring data formats to meet the needs of external clients.
You will collaborate with a global support team spanning New York, Singapore, Tokyo, Sydney, and Manila to promptly address and resolve any customer, system, or production issues. This role requires shift rotations, typically covering 07:00 - 15:00 and 10:00 - 18:00, as well as occasional weekend work. Flexibility and a rapid response to urgent issues are key to success in this position.

Role Responsibilities

  • Ensure continuous support and monitoring of real-time data flow on a minute-by-minute basis.
  • Support applications running on both Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot data and system issues.
  • Configure and format data for external client requirements.
  • Work closely with global support teams (New York, Singapore, Tokyo, Sydney, Manila) to address customer, system, installation, and production issues.
  • Fulfil additional duties as requested by management.

Experience / Competencies

Essential

  • IT experience in financial markets.
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel for real-time data applications.
  • General understanding of networking concepts (e.g., routers, firewalls, VLAN switches).
  • Proficiency in basic Linux commands and tools (e.g., “vi,” “cron,” shell scripting).
  • Willingness to work weekend shifts and flexible hours.

Desired

  • Knowledge of RMDS/TREP backbone.
  • Familiarity with the FIX protocol for market data.
  • Experience with Solace Messaging Bus.
  • Proficiency with market data terminals (e.g., Refinitiv Eikon, Bloomberg).
  • Strong expertise in Linux or Solaris operating systems.
  • Experience with data contributions to Thomson Reuters over MLIP.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience configuring Geneos ITRS monitoring software.
