SUMMARY:

Catholic Charities of San Antonio is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as the R&P Program Coordinator. The Refugee Resettlement and Placement (R&P) Program Coordinator will play a pivotal role in assisting refugees to rebuild their lives and integrate into the local community successfully. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills to manage program operations, collaborate with partners, and ensure the delivery of comprehensive services to refugees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or business-related field.
  • Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in refugee resettlement or related fields.

License and Credentials

  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid driver license and must have clean driving record
  • Valid vehicle insurance
  • Bilingual preferred

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of State and Federal Contracts and Grants.
  • Knowledge of Program Manuals and Operational Guidelines.
  • Knowledge of client files documentation and record keeping.
  • Skilled in using personal computer, various software, email, and internet.
  • A solid grasp of file documentation and record keeping.
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and in a team.
  • Must have good written and verbal skills.
  • Must have good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to drive agency vehicles.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Travel requirements for the position include 50% local and 50% overnight.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the R&P program team members to ensure the delivery of R&P program services in a timely professional manner.
  • Conduct regular and periodic reviews of caseworker activities, including client assessments, resettlement plans, referrals, and follow-ups.
  • Ensure that caseworkers adhere to the established guidelines, protocols, and best practices while delivering services.
  • Monitor the accuracy and completeness of client records, case notes, and documentation.
  • Generate regular reports on casework activities, outcomes, and challenges for management and funding purposes.
  • Foster open and effective communication channels between caseworkers, program management, and the rest of refugee resettlement programs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, case files, and reports to comply with program requirements and funding regulations.
  • Coordinate cultural orientation sessions for clients to boost their understanding of US laws, culture, and societal norms.
  • Address any concerns or issues that may arise in the casework process, working towards swift resolution.
  • Analyze trends and patterns in casework data to inform programmatic decisions and improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
