JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of the Reception Clerk and Class 3 Driver, the main responsibilities of this position are to receiving merchandise according to established procedures and transferring it to the various departments according to daily needs. The incumbent is also responsible for ensuring truck transport between the various buildings.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Possess a completed high school diploma.
  • Possess a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in a related field.
  • Possess a class 3 driver’s license.
  • Possess a valid forklift driving license.
  • Ability to work physically for several hours;
  • Possess good computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Office);
  • Bilingualism required (French and English);

Responsibilities:

Receiving goods :

  • Unload trucks;
  • Check delivery documents, note missing quantities, check condition of goods and refuse damaged goods;
  • Check items received in accordance with purchase orders;
  • Label goods if necessary;
  • Route merchandise to appropriate storage locations;
  • Notify buyers (if necessary) of arrival of goods;
  • Route receiving documents to the person in charge of data entry to the ERP system (On a daily basis at the end of the day);

Goods transfer :

  • Print list of requirements each day;
  • Prepare materials and bring them into the SS plant or Silicone plant according to the established schedule and according to the list of materials received each day and place them in the appropriate locations;
  • Bring back materials from the SS plant daily and place them in the appropriate locations;
  • Place materials returning from the Silicone plant in the appropriate locations;
  • Drive motorized vehicles and operate accessories required to perform work.
  • Load, unload and handle the contents of one’s vehicle using appropriate equipment and dispose of it as directed.
  • Handle, transport and use appropriate tools, equipment and materials, see to their maintenance and to the cleanliness of the work area.
  • Any other related duties as required.
