Responsibilities:

  • Observe and ensure that all staff on duty are aware of the security, health and safety regulations.
  • Supervise and organise all staff on the duty shift, affording maximum desk coverage at all times. Ensure that all meal breaks are taken.
  • Ensure that all special requests for regular guests, VIP’s and groups are actioned with guidance from the Reception Management team.
  • Make all staff on duty aware of the daily availability and overbooked situations if applicable.
  • Assist the Reception Management team in the implementation of new procedures and coordination of training.
  • Ensure the hotel’s credit procedure is adhered to at all times, with guidance from the Reception Management team if required.
  • Keep in close contact with Housekeeping and Concierge throughout the shift to follow through on all special requests made.
  • Be a role inspiration to the Reception team, with great attitude, customer service skills, team work, health & safety compliance and brand standards.
