Description:

Macnaught Pty Ltd is a medium-sized manufacturing company operating in Turrella, south-western Sydney, producing lubricating equipment and flow-meters for sale in Australia, New Zealand and global markets.

We are now looking for a bright, energetic person to take care of receptionist role for the organisation as well as assist in the finance department. The work timings are from 9 am - 3 pm from Mon-Fri. The main duties include:

  • Undertake receptionist duty as greeting and assisting visitors in a professional manner, answering general enquiries;
  • Conference room management / monthly birthdays and catering as required;
  • Banking and mailing when necessary;
  • Travel and accommodations booking as per approval; monthly reconciliation of travel accounts;
  • Backup for AR / AP when necessary, assisting inquiries from customers and suppliers;
  • Credit cards / Staff expenses coding and reconciliations monthly before end of month;
  • Assist Financial Accountant with Company phone/data/motor vehicle records and maintenance for FBT;
  • Perform other Accounting duties and projects as required including filing, year-end auditing, end of month process, writing procedure manual for Finance Department etc.
  • Collaborate with Accounting team, and other Macnaught staff as required;
  • Manage professional relations with creditors, customers and external suppliers/distributors;
  • Ensure that processes deliver their intended outputs;
  • Maintain the integrity and follow all policies and procedures contained in the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System; facilitating the implementation of the QMS and EMS, to update and maintain processes in the QMS and EMS and to actively ensure the direct reports of this position are implementing and following processes outlined in the QMS and EMS on a daily basis;
  • The incumbent also needs to be aware that failure to follow the Policies and procedures may result in or damage to the environment and following on from that, Federal, State and Local Governments may impose very serious penalties to and Companies who break environmental laws, however minor. Where difficulties are identified provide instructions and training;
  • Adherence to Macnaught’s Workplace Health & Safety Policies and procedures with an emphasis on safety, WH&S – Support of all WH&S programs, PPE etc

The successful candidate should have :

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Previous travel bookings experience will be preferred
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Technically-oriented, well-organised with good attention to detail
  • Computer literate with strong systems orientation
  • Self-motivated but also able to work as a team member

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
