Job Role: Reception/Admin Support
Pay Rate: £11.62 per hour
Hours: Monday- Friday – 30hrs per week
Shift Patterns: 9am-3.30pm – No weekend Working/No Bank Holidays
Location: Fernley Resource Centre, Blundell Ave, Freshfield, L37 1PH

ABOUT YOU:

We’re looking for a receptionist with:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and office systems
  • Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and a professional demeanour
  • Ability to manage tasks, maintain confidentiality, and build effective relationships
  • A proactive, friendly, and team-oriented approach

Responsibilities:

As an admin receptionist, you’ll be a vital part of our team, handling essential tasks and ensuring smooth operations to support our high-quality care. This key role involves:

  • Answering the telephone, directing calls to the appropriate staff and taking messages as necessary. Meeting and greeting visitors, offering refreshments. Look after visitor book and signing in/out sheets.
  • Maintain various Microsoft Office applications. Update staff data on supervision and appraisal, absence, holidays using spreadsheets and databases with current information e.g. client information, staff information, training (list is not exhaustive)
  • Maintain and update information pertaining to all service users and staff files, i.e. personal files, training records and other general documentation.
  • Filing, photocopying, scanning and faxing documents to the correct locations/ staff.

Fernley Resource Centre offers a unique and specialised day support service for adults with learning disabilities and complex health needs. Set in a vibrant pinewood environment, we provide a range of person-centered services designed to be fun and stimulating.
Our facility includes dedicated base and activity rooms, sensory rooms, a hydrotherapy pool, and an American-themed diner. We focus on enjoyment, engagement, and achievement, using creative, interactive methods to support sensory development, social interaction, and emotional well-being.
We emphasise individualised care, with excellent training and development opportunities for our staff. Regular “Involve Me” sessions and “Speaking Up Meetings” ensure that those we support have a voice in shaping our services.
