Description:
Overview:
The Dallas, TX office of Lewis Brisbois is seeking a Receptionist/Administrative Assistant. This is an entry level position for anyone desiring to gain experience either in the legal field or obtaining experience in a corporate environment. This is an ideal position for a college student. This position will be the first point of contact for the office. The primary responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following: receive and record oral information from telephone callers or in person, and then communicate it to attorneys and staff. Operate a multi-line telephone console in order to relay incoming and outgoing calls, welcome all guests and notify attorneys and/or staff of their arrival. Direct telephone calls to appropriate attorneys and staff. Meet and greet clients and visitors to the law office and ensures proper clearance and routing of such parties in accordance with firm policies; notify supervisor of difficult situations. Notify building security of all visitors and grant them access to the suite, if needed. Ensure guests are directed to coat closets and restrooms, offered beverages and are comfortable in the reception area. Receive and record deliveries to the firm and/or individuals in the firm and routes them accordingly to the proper recipient. Work with the Facilities Coordinator to maintain conference room schedule. Maintain neatness of lobby and reception area. The position will work closely with the Office Administrator with the day-to-day administrative functions of the office and handles assignments as requested by the Managing Partner, Administrative Partner and Office Administrator. In addition, works collaboratively with Firm Management and Office Administration Teams.

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required
- Ability to handle telephone calls and visitors, lift telephone books and small delivery packages, operate telephone equipment and record messages.
