At DWS Legal we pride ourselves on providing a personal approach to our Clients and providing every client with a named contact, as well as a small support team to facilitate their case as quickly and efficiently as possible.
In order to do this we must ensure that the first impression to a client, is the right impression.
We are seeking someone to work in a ‘multi-tasking’ role as a Receptionist, Administrator and typist and we are looking for someone who can develop and progress within the Firm on a full time basis.
Legal office experience of some sort – either employed or work experience would be preferred for this busy role however, training can be offered to the right candidate showing a willingness to learn. Training will also be given for administrative duties so the desire to learn is important.
Please note that there will be opportunities for progression available.
You will need to be an outgoing and proactive individual who works well both on their own and in a team as well as being articulate and presentable.

Responsibilities:

  • Reception duties and so need to be presentable and with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Contacting clients by phone, email and letter
  • Typing letters and general assistant duties and therefore audio typing skills are advantageous. The main area of work for typing will be within the Property Department and again full training will be provided where necessary.
  • Answering the telephone and to greet Clients
  • ID checks
  • Dealing with incoming and external post
  • Card payments
  • In relation to the administrative side there will be a requirement for data inputting for our off site storage company, carrying out Online AML Checks (Anti0Money Laundering checks) using specific software and client data, filing for various members of staff, undertaking dictation work if so required and listening to the dictation and being able to provide administrative support to fee earners.
    As this job involves numerous tasks to work through on a daily basis strong organisational skills are required along with a methodical and thorough approach and the ability to prioritise when under pressure.
    Coming into contact with a wide range of departments and individuals at all levels makes the job varied and interesting.
