Description:

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic, efficient and friendly person to be part of the reception team at Castle Street Medical Centre.

YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE:

A good standard of general education which includes English language GCSE, Grade C or above.
Previous customer service experience.
IT literacy skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent customer care and communication skills are essential as well as a friendly and caring personality. You should also have a good telephone manner and be able to stay calm under pressure.
Good keyboard and PC skills, with demonstrable experience of using Microsoft Office, e.g. Word, Excel and Outlook
It is Trust policy that for posts that are for a time limited period, applicants who are currently employed by an NHS organisation will only be appointed on a secondment basis and should have approval from their line manager this is possible before applying. Applicants who are not employed by an NHS organisation, will receive a fixed term contract.
Responsible for the busy switchboard and reception area. To provide a friendly, helpful and professional service.
Provide comprehensive reception clerical duties.
Open premises; prepare to receive patients at the published opening time.
Deal with telephone and face-to-face requests for appointments, home visits, enquiries for test results and record relevant messages for clinicians and practice manager
Check emails and process tasks, workflow and electronic communications
Undertake any training and attend staff meetings as required such as mandatory training
Scan letters into patients electronic records
Deal with payments from patients
Dealing with post and deliveries
Check lights, computers and equipment turned off in all rooms before leaving the building and set alarm system
Undertake any other reasonable duty that may be required and agreed with the management team
