Responsibilities:

Downhall Park Surgery has an opportunity for an administrator/receptionist to join our busy practice support team, on a part-time basis for 8 hours per week, over 2 days.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Undertaking a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice, including the provision of secretarial and clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the practice team;
  • Data entry and read coding of relevant patient information and medical data into the clinical system;
  • Scanning patient information into computerised records, including medical documents, hospital records and letters, as necessary;
  • Read-coding the information into the partnership’s clinical system;
  • Retrieving paper notes as requested;
  • Photocopying documents as required;
  • Dealing with all referrals to primary care;
  • Actioning tasks set by clinicians and the practice manager;
  • Processing practice post and emails;
  • Reviewing and summarising medical records;
  • Registering new patients;
  • Covering reception, as and when required;
  • Handling phone enquiries efficiently.
