Description:
The Henry Royce Institute (Royce), an EPSRC-funded national institute, supports advanced materials research and innovation. With its Hub at The University of Manchester, the Institute has spokes at ten Partner and Associate organisations: the Universities of Sheffield, Leeds, Liverpool, Cambridge, Oxford, Cranfield, Strathclyde and Imperial College London, as well as at the UK Atomic Energy Authority and National Nuclear Laboratory. Royce, driven by a vision of ‘advanced materials for a sustainable society’, supports the UK in growing its world-leading research and innovation.
The Royce Reception and Administration Assistant will provide a customer-orientated reception service to all staff, students and visitors and support the day-to-day running of the Royce Hub Building. You will provide administrative support, when required, to Royce operational activities and large on-site events and meetings.
Royce is an evolving, dynamic organisation and you will therefore need to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, working alongside the Hub team based at Manchester. You will have experience of working in a clerical/reception customer service environment, along with excellent organisational and time management skills. You will also need good communication skills and the ability to work with students, staff and external collaborators, giving a professional view of the Institute.
As an equal opportunities employer we welcome applicants from all sections of the community regardless of gender, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation and transgender status. All appointments are made on merit.
