Description:

Organise and book departmental clinics on Solus and on PAS ensuring that all necessary documentation is available and all patient information is correct. Greet our patients, answering any queries they may have and dealing with any general problems they may have during their visit. Escort them to the relevant waiting area if necessary. Monitor patients waiting in the waiting room to ensure that no one has been overlooked, and to make sure that no one is distressed or needs any medical attention.
Call the resuscitation or medical emergency team if asked to do so in an emergency. Deal with queries from Medical staff, pathway coordinators and other department Open and sort the departmental post Assist with management of the direct access services, liaising with GP surgeries as required organise registration of new patients. Advise patients how to book transport, liaise with ambulance control and patients to ensure they have transport arranged for outpatient appointments Register patients onto the database, book appointments and send out appointment letters. Order, trace and collect case-notes as required, liaising with medical records and other departments.
Ensure stationery is checked and stores are kept in an organised manner. Take minutes at team meetings as required Liaise with the IT department to help ensure the IT systems are functioning at all times
