General practice is a challenging environment that requires a calm and caring approach with the ability to work under pressure. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated team player who has customer service/patient experience and has the following attributes:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, but not essential.
- Empathy and a desire to make a difference in patients’ lives.
- Proficient in using computer systems.

We are a rural, well established, forward thinking fully dispensing GMS practice. Our team consists of 2 GP partners, a salaried GP, 2 ANPs, a clinical pharmacist and a highly skilled nursing, administration and dispensing team. We are located in modern, purpose-built premises in West Norfolk (close to the Suffolk border) and provide high quality care to 5,500 patients.

Responsibilities:
Feltwell Surgery located in West Norfolk, is looking for a compassionate, organised, and proactive individual to join our dynamic team as a receptionist/care navigator.
This vital role involves providing outstanding customer service to our patients and supporting the smooth running of the practice. This is a part-time position working 19 hours over 2 days per week (Monday and Wednesday).
Key responsibilities will include:
- Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments and manage patient queries.
- Navigate patients through the healthcare system, providing information and support.
- Ensure patient records are accurate and up to date.
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff to coordinate patient care.
- Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
