Description:

Cheshire House is a 75-bed, family-owned skilled nursing facility in Waterbury, Connecticut specializing in short-term rehabilitation and long-term care. We are currently hiring a Receptionist. Come join our team!
Weekends 8:30am-7pm

RECEPTIONIST JOB SUMMARY:

The receptionist is often the first person a patient, candidate or family member interacts with. Receptionists will kindly greet and direct visitors, answer any incoming calls, coordinate outgoing and incoming mail and maintain relevant records.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education.

Be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner.
Be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 40 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 4 feet.
Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.

Responsibilities:

Answer telephone, determine nature of call and direct caller to appropriate individual or department. Forward calls into voicemail if necessary and take messages for employees when appropriate.

Give directions/information to visitors, guests, residents, sales representatives, etc.
Maintain a current file/listing of residents by name and room number, emergency phone members of on-call personnel, department extensions, key personnel, etc.
Operate copiers, office machines, etc., as directed.
Operate computer as directed.
Order supplies as directed.
