Responsibilities:
JOB PURPOSE:
To provide a comprehensive reception service at a range of clinics within the Gloucestershire Community Dental Service.
To provide administration services primarily appointment bookings and record maintenance to patients referred to the Service from General Dental Practitioners and other Healthcare Professionals.
To ensure that patients receive correct, concise information regarding their appointment in a format they can understand.
The post holder will be accountable to the Senior Management Team through the Administration Manager and Team Leader.
CORE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
To provide a comprehensive reception service at a range of Gloucestershire Community Dental Clinics across the county of Gloucestershire.
To deal with the general public, professional and senior work colleagues.
Daily contact with patients, relatives, carers, translators, providing advice, information and guidance where necessary over the telephone and face to face.
To be responsible for entering all personal details of patients onto the dental software accurately.
To ensure patients make follow-up appointments for regular dental check-ups and treatments.
To liaise with dental laboratories, ensure all paperwork is completed and work is collected and delivered promptly.
To participate with the Team Leader, Administration Manager and Senior Management to review and implement new working practices, policies and procedures relating to reception duties.
To ensure all patient records are stored and archived in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
To undertake such other duties related to the work of the service as may be assigned that are consistent with the nature of the job and its level of responsibility
