Overview:
Administrative & Clerical
The Receptionist serves patients by greeting and helping them as they enter the clinic and over the phone. Under close supervision, this position meets and greets patients and hospital guests, answers phones and takes messages, and provides accurate directions both within the hospital and directions to-and-from all organization facilities. This is a relif role where you work only when needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Greets patients and personnel as they enter the hospital and organizational facilities.
  • Facilitates the check-in process, serving both patients and medical staff, and arranges or provides escort services as appropriate to ensure the guest arrives at their appointment.
  • Ensures that the patient fills out required paperwork and that records are filed appropriately.
  • Answers phone calls made to the hospital and organizational facilities and provides non-confidential hospital information as necessary.
  • Performs quality checks of patient records and ensures documents are filed away appropriately and securely.
  • Performs routine clerical and administrative tasks as assigned in order to ensure the hospital information desk is running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Performs other duties as reasonably required or assigned.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

Required: 1 year; Proficiency in Microsoft Office
