SKILLS KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • Previous receptionist or administrative experience desired but not required
  • A professional and friendly demeanour
  • Strong telephone manner
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise responsibilities

Responsibilities:

ROLE PURPOSE

We are currently seeking a friendly, professional and highly organised individual to join our team as a receptionist. The receptionist will be responsible for the meeting and greeting customers in a warm and professional manner, ensuring visitors passes are completed correctly, ordering couriers and other administrative tasks as required.

ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE

  • Meeting and greeting all customers arriving to the company and alert the relevant staff member of their arrival.
  • Answering and directing phone calls, taking messages and ensuring timely follow up.
  • Ordering couriers where required and maintain a log of all couriers requested.
  • Signing for any deliveries that arrives to the company throughout the day.
  • Providing administrative support to the Personal Insurance department and other departments as needed.
  • Responding to customer inquiries and providing information about our company and services.
  • Scheduling appointments and meetings as needed and booking meeting rooms.
  • Ensuring reception area is kept tidy and presentable at all times.
  • Maintaining office security by following safety procedures and controlling building access via the reception desk and issuing visitor badges
