Role Overview and Objectives
The Reception and Office Administrator is responsible for ensuring that the reception desk and front-of-house office functions run efficiently and effectively in support of the wider Datacom business.

REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge

  • Knowledge and experience in business performance and office administration practices.
  • Understanding of the business and technology strategies in which the organisation operates.
  • Understanding of strategy, with an ability to grasp the big picture

Experience

  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience in a similar role.

Skills

  • Ability to manage issues or complaints, escalating when necessary.
  • Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
  • Ability to frequently interact with a variety of stakeholders and team members.
  • Ability to understand customer requirements or requests and provide effective customer service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities:

The Reception and Office Administrator is responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Providing efficient and professional customer service at the reception desk, including welcoming guests or clients, directing all incoming calls and managing visitor sign in.
  • Ensuring all internal and external queries are responded to or escalated in a timely manner.
  • Ad-hoc administration assistance and support as requested by the functional team and other business units.
  • ·Maintaining the reception area, kitchen and meeting rooms throughout the day to ensure they are clean and presentable.
  • Maintaining stock levels for office stationery and kitchen supplies and replenishing as required.
  • Assisting with booking and organizing events for senior executives and general office events.
  • Collaborating with the broader team to analyses, provide recommendations and implement process improvements.
  • Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with key business stakeholders to understand core business functions.
  • Supporting the continuous monitoring and evaluation of key performance indicators, forecasting and trends.

Takes reasonable care that their actions (or inactions) do not harm the Health and Safety of self or others. Reports all incidents, hazards or unsafe work practices as per Datacom policy.
