Position Summary: Full-time Call Receptionist is needed for a busy Internal Medicine office. Successful candidate must maintain a professional image in the office and in all communications. Must be able to multi-task while maintaining good patient and staff relations along with providing outstanding customer service. Must be able to work Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
Essential Job Functions: Taking phone calls from patients, answering or referring inquires appropriately. Optimizes patient satisfaction, utilization by scheduling appointments by telephone or in person through computer software systems. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Greets and welcomes patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone, answering or referring inquiries appropriately. Maintains patient records by obtaining and accurately recording patient demographics, insurance, and billing information. Collects co-payments at the time of service, receives payments on accounts and reconciles daily cash reports. Responds appropriately to unexpected office events and situations. Protects the right of patients by maintaining confidentiality of personal, health and financial information. Maintains operations by following policies and procedures Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Excellent computer, telephone, and communication skills Customer service skills, organization, and attention to detail Dependable, a team player, friendly and professional Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced and stressful environment and manage a multi-line telephone system. Medical office experience preferred, but not required Able to speak Spanish is a plus
