Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Receptionist to join our team in Mississauga. As part of our Shared Services team, comprised of Finance, Marketing & Communications, and Human Resources, Legal and Facilities, we support the business achieve their goals through a range of strong technical capabilities. As first point of contact between client/visitors and Hatch, receptionist must present, at all times, a positive, cheerful and professional attitude. A junior role with three years of experience working in an office environment, the receptionist works directly with the Lead Receptionist or Facilities Manager for direction providing support to Hatch engineering projects in compliance with Hatch standards wherever possible. The receptionist must be punctual, courteous and helpful.

As the successful candidate, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

  • Keyboarding: minimum 50 words/minute.
  • Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Well organized and good interpersonal skills.
  • Detail oriented who takes pride in their work.
  • Can prioritize tasks, adapt to change and work well under pressure.
  • Intermediate level in the following applications:
  • Outlook
  • Word
  • Excel
  • PowerPoint
  • Internet Explorer
  • Adobe Acrobat
  • Competency with office tools (i.e. copiers, scanners, fax machines, telephone systems)

Soft Skills:

  • Adaptable to changes, able to multi-task, organize, and prioritize.
  • Is detail oriented.
  • Needs little direction and able to work under minimal supervision.
  • Has a strong work ethic.
  • Is punctual.
  • Has a pleasant and professional demeanor

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Welcoming clients/visitors to Hatch;
  • Ensuring visitors sign in as per specific office policy;
  • Issuing visitor security badges;
  • Answering the phone cheerfully and professionally;
  • Prioritizing: ensuring that reception desk and queued calls are covered;
  • Ordering cabs and hotel shuttles;
  • Receiving deliveries and notifying responsible person;
  • Redirecting deliveries to Mail Room when required;
  • Be flexible to cover other reception locations when required;

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

  • Assisting PSCs and Health and Safety with project work if required;
  • Ordering lunches and ensuring catering supplies are available;
  • Booking meeting rooms and/or confirming bookings;
  • Set up and clean up of boardrooms after meetings, if required;
  • Coding of Invoices
