Description:
We are now looking for a Part-Time Receptionist to work afternoons in Rush Nursing Home (fixed term contract until April 2025)
NOTE
This job description is intended to give the post holder an appreciation of the role and the range of duties, it does not attempt to detail every activity. Given the nature of the work, it must be stressed that maximum flexibility is required to work in the Nursing Home. Specific tasks and objectives will be agreed with the post holder periodically by the Director of Nursing
What are the qualifications/skills needed?
- Proven experience as a Receptionist, Front of House or similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g., printers, scanners).
- Professional attitude with outstanding attention to detail.
- Ability to deal with several tasks concurrently and deal with changing priorities.
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Customer service attitude.
- Fluent in both oral and written English.
- Relevant qualification in Office Administration is a plus
Responsibilities:
The Reception role will consult with the Director of Nursing and Administrator on a day-to-day basis and serve as a crucial point of contact for any administrative area concerning the Nursing Home.
What does this role entail?
- Greet and welcome visitors as soon as they arrive at Rush Nursing Home.
- Ensure all visitors have appropriate PPE and follow infection control guidelines.
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls.
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g., pens, forms, and brochures).
- Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email.
- Receive, sort, and distribute daily post/deliveries.
- Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock.
- Perform other clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing.
- Assist with updating the policies and procedures of the Nursing Home
- Assist with the visitor booking system.
- Assist with Nursing Home viewings.
