ABOUT THE CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have the following skills, attributes and experience;
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Flexibility to cover for annual leave and sickness.
- Previous experience of working in primary care would be beneficial.
- Knowledge of EMIS web would be desirable but not essential, as full training will be given.

Great Bentley Surgery has a practice size of 11,200, 5 GP partners, 2 salaried GPs and a full nursing team.
Responsibilities:
Great Bentley Surgery has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive receptionist to join our team on a part-time basis, working approximately 19 hours per week. This post will require applicants to work the following shifts:
- Monday from 8.00 am to 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm
- Wednesday from 8.00 am to 1.00 pm
- Friday from 1.00 pm to 6.00 pm
- The successful applicant will also be required to work on a Saturday on a rota basis (approximately 1 in 6).
Duties will include;
- Answering calls and managing appointments.
- Dealing with queries via email, phone and face-to-face.
- Updating internal systems.
- Liaising with colleagues and the wider healthcare team.
- Administration duties.
