Description:
We are in the search for a Receptionist for our client in Metairie, Louisiana. In this role, you will handle various tasks such as data entry, order entry, and managing purchase orders. You will be a vital part of our team, ensuring smooth operations on a daily basis. This is a short-term contract to full time employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and maintain a professional and courteous communication at all times.
- Handle incoming telephone calls and manage the showroom presentation.
- Perform data entry tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring each is given the necessary attention and completed on time.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook, for various tasks.
- Accurately enter customer and account data from source documents.
- Review data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities and checking output.
- Manage purchase orders and order entries effectively and efficiently.
- Handle shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring all processes are carried out smoothly.
- Provide proactive, tailored, and timely customer support to all clients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook
- Experience with Data Entry
- Familiarity with Order Entry processes
- Knowledge and experience in handling Purchase Orders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and handle pressure
- Professionalism and positive attitude
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Receptionist or similar role is preferred
- Basic knowledge of office equipment such as printers and fax machines.
