Description:
We are looking for a Receptionist to join our team in the Service industry, based in VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia. This role is the first point of contact for all visitors, employees, and vendors. The Receptionist will be responsible for greeting visitors, answering and transferring phone calls, and performing clerical support duties. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for all visitors, employees, and vendors
- Answer incoming calls in a courteous manner and redirect those calls professionally
- Greet onsite visitors professionally and ensure they follow the required procedures
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on organizational changes to efficiently redirect phone calls to the correct party
- Perform clerical duties such as ensuring adequate supplies for day-to-day operations and arranging meeting requirements as necessary
- Assist management and building support staff with daily administrative tasks
- Handle customer service duties by welcoming onsite visitors in a detail oriented manner
- Determine the nature of visitors’ business and ensure all visitors sign the visitor agreement
- Manage the front desk switchboard efficiently
- Utilize skills such as answering multi-line phone system, customer service, data entry, email correspondence, and organizing files effectively.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a receptionist role or similar position.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong customer service skills and detail oriented demeanor.
- Ability to handle a multi-line phone system effectively.
- Efficient in data entry tasks with high level of accuracy.
- Excellent written communication skills for email correspondence.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of staff and clients.
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage files and records.
