Job Description
We are looking for an ambassador for Sofitel Wellington as a Receptionist. The ambassador should an eye for detail, a passion for creating magnifique luxury experience for our guests and developing a wonderful team.
We are looking for a Receptionist who has a passion for engaging with and assisting guests and colleagues. You will be assisting the Front Office Duty Manager with the daily tasks on the Front Desk. This role offers a great development opportunity to grow your skills and confidence in a busy hotel right in the heart of Wellington.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Service focused personality is essential; customer service experience is an asset.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
- Full NZ Driver’s license and able to drive both manual and auto would be advantageous.
- Ability to work on a rotating roster.
- Previous similar experience is an advantage
- Knowledge of Wellington sights and events
- Able to take Initiative and adapt to changing conditions
Additional Information
Responsibilities:
- Providing a unique and personalized guest experience for each guest at our hotel by creating rapport with guests and using creative and personal ways to exceed guest expectations.
- Assisting reservations with booking requests
- Taking and directing all incoming calls
- Providing Concierge service, including giving insight to local activities and assisting in tour booking requests
- Assisting guests with luggage to and from their room
- Maintaining the presentation of the front desk and hotel lobby
